‘Life in the Country’

JIVE PONY

A spectacular mix of equestrian skills and thrills blended with the razzmatazz and style of West End favourites like Grease and Chicago! 

Jive Pony has it all; gymnastic vaulting stunts, trick riding, roman riding plus plenty of glamour in every show. The whole family will love it.

Horticultural tent

A Magnificent display of “home produced” goods, whether it is a vegetable from the garden or allotment, a cake you have baked, a drawing your child has created or a piece of art work. Local people all contribute to make this display truly wonderful, a joy to behold.

PRO FALCONER

Pro Falconer will be presenting a team of Birds of Prey including Eagle, Hawk, Buzzard, Owl and Falcon.  With a static display throughout the day and a main ring flying demonstration  they will be wowing the crowds this year.  Two falconers will be on hand all day to answer any questions and “Birds of Prey Experience Day” gift packages will be on offer at a special Fillongley Show discount!’

Working Craft Tent

Over 20 exhibitors come to display and sell their home produced goods. From Jewellery to Jam, flowers to fragrances and honey to hats!! We have it all.

Grand Parade

A Traditional Parade of all the prize winning animals at the show, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Pigs and Goats.

Trade Stands

A wide display of stall holders from all over the UK come to show their wares and temp you into spoiling yourself.

Carriage Driving

A wonderful display of carriages and horses will be shown and judged in the main ring.

Clay Pigeon Shoot

“Have a go” clay pigeon shoot from 11am, kindly organized by Berkswell Gun Club

Young Farmers

Great fun and ecitement as local YFC take on Balsall Rugby Club at SUMO WRESTLING, COCK FIGHTING and EMU RACING!  Come and support your team.

Showing Classes

A chance to see horses of many breeds and colours, sizes and shapes. Shown both in hand and ridden.

Historical Machinery

A marvelous display of vintage tractors and assorted agricultural machinery and the opportunity to see some working displays.

Cattle Classes

What magnificent animals you will see here, Local farmers showing how to produce animals of the highest quality.

Shire Horses

View the true meaning of “Horse Power” and see these gentle giants display in the main ring.

Sheep Classes

Ever wondered where the wool from your jumper came from, now is your chance to see sheep of all breeds and types.

Atherstone Hunt

An opportunity for the children to come and meet these wonderful hounds and see the huntsman in all their splendour.

Pig Classes

Not only will you see pigs of different colours and size, some have floppy ears, some have spots, come and see how many different types you can find and whilst your there, look out for the Pig Agility classes which will take place around lunchtime.

Gun Dog Display

The intelligence of “man’s best friend” as it obeys it’s handler in one of the oldest country pursuits

Goats

After several years without goats they were reintroduced last year and we hope to see more competitors join us and help keep this section going.

Fancy Dress

An Opportunity to see fancy dress with a difference, children and adults with their own horse showing how human and animal can interact.

Show Jumping

Ever wondered how high a horse could jump, well now is your chance to see, starting with the smaller fences in the morning, watch the jumps become more and more challenging as the day goes on and see who can make it to the end of the day.

Afternoon Teas

Traditional Afternoon Tea with a slice of Home made cake, mmm I can taste it now!!!!

Punch and Judy Show

Allow the children to watch some old fashioned entertainment and see how Mr Punch and Judy go about their daily life.

Morris Dancing

A Traditional display of dancing in authentic costume
